Marie Stopes was a British author, palaeobotanist and campaigner for eugenics and women's rights. She was a British scientist and writer who became an active proponent of sexual education and birth control in the early twentieth century.

Achievements

Marie Stopes had created many books on sex, love, and marriage. She was the very first female academic on the faculty of the University of Manchester and she was one of the founders the first birth control clinic in Britain.
